University tutoring FAQs

The questions we're asked most about re-sits, final-exam prep and assignment support

I failed a first- or second-year unit — can you help me pass the re-sit?
Yes — this is one of our core scenarios. We first work out why the unit was failed: a shaky foundation, exam technique, or a few modules that never clicked. Then we tutor accordingly and run through the core concepts and past question types before the re-sit, so the student gets through this time.
Is it too late to start tutoring a few weeks before finals?
It's not too late, but sooner is better. For final sprints we work around the syllabus and past papers — quickly mapping high-frequency topics, working through typical questions and running timed practice — spending limited time where it earns the most marks. If time is very tight, our advisor will tell you honestly which goals are realistic and where trade-offs are needed.
Which universities and courses can you tutor?
Mainly first- and second-year core subjects across business, engineering, science and IT at NSW universities (such as UNSW, the University of Sydney, UTS and Macquarie). We are not affiliated with any institution; we're simply familiar with the core units these universities commonly run, and we tutor according to the course and pace you're actually studying.
What exactly does assignment support involve — does it count as ghost-writing?
We only provide idea prompts, structural guidance and academic writing conventions (referencing, formatting, logic) to help you write the assignment yourself — the final content must be your own work. We never provide ghost-writing of any kind: it is illegal in Australia (TEQSA Act s114A) and, if detected, carries serious consequences for the student.
Can tutoring follow my lectures, tutorials and set textbooks?
Yes. We work as closely as possible to your course outline, lecture notes and set texts, rather than applying a generic handout. Send your tutor the course materials, assignment briefs or revision scope, and the sessions will centre on what you actually have to sit and submit.
